Italian giants Juventus are keeping a close watch on promising Dutch-Ghanaian winger Ernest Poku as they continue shaping their long-term squad plans ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Tribuna.

The Turin club is understood to be monitoring the rapid rise of the young attacker, who has been making a strong impression since joining Bayer Leverkusen. Poku has quickly established himself as one of the more exciting young wide players currently developing in the Bundesliga.

Before his move to Germany, the winger honed his craft in the renowned academy of AZ Alkmaar. His performances there earned him a transfer to Leverkusen in August 2025 in a deal reportedly worth around €12 million including bonuses.

Known for his explosive pace, direct running, and ability to take on defenders in one-on-one situations, Poku has transitioned smoothly into German football. His development has also been reflected on the international stage, where he has consistently represented the Netherlands U-21 national team at youth level.

Poku joins Bayer on a €12 million deal

During the current campaign, the winger has featured in 20 league matches, registering five goals and four assists. Those numbers highlight not only his attacking output but also the growing influence he is beginning to have in Leverkusen’s forward line.

Juventus view the  young winger as a player with significant upside and could consider making a move once the transfer window opens, particularly as the club looks to inject youthful energy into its attacking department.

However, Leverkusen are unlikely to make negotiations easy. The Bundesliga side are in a strong position, with Poku’s value rising sharply following his impressive performances. Reports suggest the German club would be unwilling to entertain offers below €25–30 million.
