Several European clubs are showing interest in Ghanaian midfielder Aziz Issah following Barcelona’s decision not to make his move permanent, according to a source close to the player that exclusively talked to Footy-Africa.
The source revealed that discussions are ongoing over the youngster’s future after his loan spell with Barcelona Atlètic.
“There are several clubs in Europe who are interested,” the source told Footy-Africa.com. “But the aim is to take into consideration all the necessary considerations before committing. I can’t name names for now, but we are working on a long-term solution for him.”
The update comes after confirmation that Barcelona will not activate the purchase option for the Ghanaian midfielder following his time in Spain.
“Aziz will leave Barcelona. After two loan spells, we believe it’s enough. Barcelona didn’t take up option for a purchase,” the source added.
Barcelona Atlètic are expected to undergo major squad changes ahead of next season as the club reshapes its reserve team setup under Juliano Belletti.
Issah’s performances during his time in Spain are understood to have attracted attention from clubs in multiple European leagues, with the midfielder still regarded as one of Ghana’s brightest young talents.
