Charlton Athletic have submitted a bid worth around £1.5 million for Gambian forward Adama Sidibeh as interest in the Stockport County striker continues to intensify ahead of the summer transfer window, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The League One club has now joined the race to secure the services of the 27-year-old, whose future at Stockport County appears increasingly uncertain following an impressive second half of the season.
Sidibeh has attracted attention from several clubs across England, with Swansea City and Leicester City also understood to be monitoring his situation and considering potential moves this summer.
The Gambian international only joined Stockport County from Scottish side St.Johnstone FC in January 2026 but has quickly established himself as a key player. His performances played an important role in Stockport’s push for promotion, helping the club reach the EFL playoffs.
Since arriving at Edgeley Park, Sidibeh has scored six goals and registered one assist in just 13 league starts, making a significant impact in a short period of time and drawing interest from clubs higher up the football pyramid.
With demand for the striker growing, Stockport County could face a difficult task in retaining one of their standout performers. Any potential transfer would also be closely watched by St. Johnstone, who are understood to have negotiated a future sale clause when Sidibeh departed the Scottish club earlier this year.
According to Transfermarkt, Sidibeh currently has a market value of €400,000, although the latest offer from Charlton Athletic highlights the considerable rise in his stock following a productive spell in English football.
