Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has revealed the final 26-man Black Stars squad that will carry the nation’s hopes at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

The Portuguese trainer has settled on a group that blends established international stars with a number of emerging talents, as Ghana prepares for its fifth appearance on football’s grandest stage. The squad reflects a balance of experience, youth and versatility across all departments ahead of a challenging campaign in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In goal, the technical team has entrusted the responsibility to Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Anang. The trio will compete for the number one shirt as Ghana targets a strong start to the tournament.

Defensively, Queiroz has opted for a mix of proven performers and fresh options. Familiar names such as Baba Abdul Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu and Abdul Mumin provide experience at the back, while Marvin Senaya, Kojo Peprah Oppong and Derrick Luckassen are among those handed opportunities to showcase their abilities on the world stage.

The midfield unit is anchored by deputy captain Thomas Partey, who is expected to play a pivotal role in Ghana’s quest for success. He is joined by Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Augustine Boakye and Caleb Yirenkyi, offering a combination of defensive solidity, creativity and energy in the centre of the park. Versatile attackers Kamaldeen Sulemana and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku have also been included among the midfield selections.

Christopher Bonsu Baah, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Prince Kwabena Adu have also secured places in the squad, giving the Black Stars additional firepower and attacking depth.

Ghana will begin its World Cup adventure on June 17 with a meeting against Panama at BMO Field in Toronto. A blockbuster clash against England follows in Boston on June 23, before the Black Stars wrap up their group-stage fixtures against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
