Ghana international Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer’s proposed transfer to French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice has fallen through after he failed a routine medical examination, Footy-Africa.com can exclusively confirm.

A source close to the player’s camp revealed that the mandatory medical tests, which were part of the final steps in sealing the deal, raised concerns. Although the specific issue has not been disclosed, the assessment was reportedly suspended shortly after the forward completed a gym session recommended by Nice’s medical team.

Königsdörffer had already agreed personal terms with the French side in a deal that would have kept him at the club until June 2029. The transfer from Hamburg SV was valued at €6 million, and the attacker was set to enjoy a significant salary increase. However, the move is now off following the failed medical.

The 23-year-old enjoyed an outstanding season in the German Bundesliga 2, scoring 14 goals in just 19 starts for Hamburg. His form had attracted interest from several European clubs, with Nice leading the race until the setback.
