PSV Eindhoven have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Ghanaian winger Prince Amoako Junior, with sources close to the player’s agency revealing to Footy-Africa that the Dutch champions are pushing to secure his signature this summer.
The Eredivisie giants have stepped up their interest following Ismael Saibari’s move to Bayern Munich and view the 19-year-old as one of the leading candidates to strengthen their attacking options.
Coventry City have also registered interest in the highly rated winger, while Brighton & Hove Albion and Feyenoord continue to monitor his situation.
FC Nordsjælland value Amoako Jnr at around €30 million, although interested clubs are expected to negotiate a lower transfer fee. The Danish side are also keen to include a significant sell-on clause in any agreement.
A source close to the player’s representatives told Footy-Africa that PSV are currently leading the race.
“PSV are the club showing the strongest interest at the moment. They see Prince as a player who fits their style and long-term project.”

The source added that negotiations are still at an early stage, with Nordsjælland remaining firm on their valuation.
“The asking price is high, but discussions are expected. Nordsjælland know there is strong interest and will likely negotiate on the fee, while insisting on a sell-on percentage.”
Despite interest from England and the Netherlands, no agreement has yet been reached.
“Nothing has been agreed yet. There are several clubs in the picture, but PSV have positioned themselves well and are currently leading the race.”
Amoako Jnr has continued to enhance his reputation with impressive performances for Nordsjælland, attracting attention from clubs across Europe with his pace, direct running and ability to play across the frontline.
