Gambian centre-back Musa Jatta has attracted further transfer interest this summer, with Danish Superliga side BK Lyngby joining Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad in the race to sign the highly rated defender from Swedish club Östers IF, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The 20-year-old has made an impressive start to life in Sweden following his move from Finnish side AC Oulu in January 2026, and his performances have quickly caught the attention of clubs across Europe.
Jatta has started three of Östers IF’s opening four Superettan matches this season, playing 311 minutes and establishing himself as a key figure in the club’s defensive setup despite only recently arriving.
The former BST Galaxy FC defender has adapted seamlessly to Swedish football, forming part of an impressive Gambian contingent at Östers alongside compatriot Musa Njie. His composure on the ball, physical presence and defensive maturity have made him one of the club’s standout performers during the opening stages of the campaign.

His rapid development has now sparked interest from both Denmark and Bulgaria, with BK Lyngby entering the race after Ludogorets had already expressed their desire to sign the young defender.
A move to either club would represent another major step in Jatta’s career, offering him the opportunity to compete at a higher level and potentially feature in European competitions.
According to Transfermarkt, Jatta currently has an estimated market value of €150,000, although that valuation could rise should interest continue to intensify.
With multiple clubs now monitoring his situation, the coming weeks are expected to be crucial as Östers IF weighs its options.
