Saudi Pro League side Al Nasr are interested in signing Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey, with the free agent also attracting attention from clubs in Turkey, a source close to the player has told Footy-Africa.
Partey became available after leaving Villarreal at the end of the 2025-26 season following a campaign in which he struggled for regular playing time. Despite his limited club appearances, the 33-year-old enhanced his reputation with a series of composed performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The experienced midfielder missed Ghana’s opening group game against Panama in Canada but returned to feature in the Black Stars’ remaining three matches in the United States, where he was widely regarded as one of the team’s standout performers.
Al Nasr had previously shown interest in signing Partey when his contract at Arsenal was nearing its end, but the midfielder opted to remain in Europe and eventually joined Villarreal.
Interest is not limited to Saudi Arabia, with clubs in Turkey also monitoring Partey’s situation as he considers his next move.
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is understood to be an admirer of Partey, a factor that could influence developments should an opportunity arise at one of the clubs linked to the Australian coach.
With the new season approaching, Partey is expected to decide on his future in the coming weeks as interest in the experienced Ghana international continues to grow.
