Gambian winger Alieu Fadera has attracted fresh interest from Italian Serie A club Cagliari Calcio, who have now entered the race for the 24-year-old’s signature from Como 1907, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Cagliari are understood to be monitoring Fadera’s situation as the winger’s future at Como remains uncertain ahead of the closing stages of the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, fellow Serie A side US Lecce have also been linked with a move for Fadera, with reports claiming that talks are ongoing. However, sources close to the player have strongly denied those claims, describing them as “totally untrue.”
Fadera spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Sassuolo, making 28 Serie A appearances, including eight starts. Despite featuring regularly, Sassuolo decided against activating their option to make the transfer permanent, resulting in the Gambian returning to Como.
The winger joined Como in August 2024 from Belgian club KRC Genk and remains under contract with the Italian side until June 2028.
According to Transfermarkt, Fadera currently has a market value of €4.5 million.
With Cagliari now emerging as a new contender and Fadera’s future still unresolved, the Gambian international could yet make another move within Serie A before the transfer window closes.
