Gambian youngster Lamin Sillah is set to join English League Two side Gillingham on loan from Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the season, with the deal understood to be completed, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
Sillah joined Nottingham Forest last summer from Greek giants Olympiacos FC and has since featured regularly for the clubβs U21 side.
The young forward has made 17 league appearances, contributing two goals and two assists. He has also been involved with Forestβs first-team squad on a couple of occasions, gaining valuable exposure at Premier League level.
The temporary move to Gillingham is aimed at providing Sillah with regular senior football and first-team experience, allowing him to continue his development in a competitive environment.
The loan represents an important next step for the Gambian prospect as he looks to translate his performances at youth level into consistent senior football.
