Young Nigerian forward Nurudeen Adebosin is currently in Czechia on trial with Czech club FK Teplice, with talks ongoing between the club and his parent academy, Right2Win, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The highly-rated forward has attracted interest from a number of clubs in Europe, but his whereabouts had remained unclear until Teplice confirmed that Adebosin was with the club as they assess him ahead of a possible move.
Adebosin was initially spotted during a scouting programme organised in Nigeria, where European clubs were given the opportunity to assess some of the country’s emerging talents.
His performances subsequently generated interest, with clubs from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other parts of Europe believed to be monitoring his progress.
The forward particularly impressed during Teplice’s scouting trip to Nigeria, prompting the Czech side to convince Right2Win to allow him to travel to Europe and train with the team while discussions over a potential deal continue.
A source at Right2Win, who asked not to be named, described Adebosin as a player whose emergence was expected to happen away from the spotlight.
“Since it has been announced, we can confirm that he is currently there on trials, even though we did not want this to be out for reasons best known to us. He is a fantastic player who was one of the best during one of the scouting programmes organised for teams from Europe to look at some of our players.”
“Adebosinβs talent will soon be seen by everyone in the world to see and appreciate in the not too distant future. Yes, there are a few clubs in for him, but we do not want to mention their names because of the respect and cooperation we have with them. This is football, we will see how it goes,β the source added.
Adebosin’s trial at Teplice represents another significant step in what has been a rapidly developing young career. A successful spell in Slovakia could put the forward in line for a move to Europe, although talks between Teplice and Right2Win will ultimately determine his next destination.
Right2Win has established itself as one of Nigeria’s notable academies for developing young players and facilitating their moves to European football.
The academy has produced several talents who have gone on to pursue careers abroad, with Mubarak Suleiman at Slavia Prague among its most prominent exports.
The academy is also set to compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL), Nigeria’s second tier, this season.
