Jalal Abdullai’s rapid ascent in Scandinavian football is beginning to echo well beyond Norway, with a growing list of European clubs positioning themselves for a potential move, according to the Football League World report.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian forward, currently plying his trade at Molde, has become one of the most closely watched young attackers in the region. Although he is on loan in Norway, Abdullai remains the property of Swedish outfit Elfsborg, where his long-term contract runs until December 2028.

Strong performances this season have not gone unnoticed. Abdullai has found the net eight times in 23 appearances across all competitions, a return that has attracted interest from England, where Championship sides Middlesbrough and Preston North End are both tracking his development closely.

Belgium has also entered the conversation. Traditional powerhouse Anderlecht have emerged as the latest club linked with the Ghanaian, while fellow Belgian side Genk are understood to have carried out scouting assignments on the forward, who is currently valued at around €2.2 million.

Interest is not limited to England and Belgium. In Denmark, Superliga heavyweights FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland are reported to be keeping tabs on Abdullai’s progress as they assess attacking options for the future.

Having left Ghana at just 18 after coming through Inter Allies, Abdullai has matured quickly in Europe. His physicality, pace, and growing tactical awareness have added new layers to his game, allowing him to function not only as a central striker but also effectively from either flank.

Molde, meanwhile, retain an option to make the move permanent at the end of the loan spell, a clause that could prove decisive as competition for his signature continues to intensify across the continent.
