The long-anticipated transfer of Abdoulie Manneh from Swedish side Mjällby AIF to Greek giants Olympiacos FC is now very imminent, with the player having given his full approval to the move following weeks of negotiations, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Talks between the two clubs had been ongoing for several weeks, but a major breakthrough was achieved three weeks ago when a deal was struck for a guaranteed transfer fee of €4.5 million. Since then, the transfer has been delayed only by minor legal and administrative clauses surrounding player registration, which are now reportedly in their final stages of review.
According to Footy-Africa’s exclusive information, with the player now committed to the move, Manneh is expected to travel to Greece later this week to undergo his medical examination and complete the formalities of the transfer.

Assuming all goes to plan, he will then be unveiled as a new Olympiacos player ahead of their upcoming domestic and European fixtures.
The 22-year-old Gambian midfielder has been a standout performer in the Allsvenskan, attracting interest from several European clubs thanks to his dynamic playing style, work ethic, and technical ability. Since joining Mjällby AIF, Manneh has grown into one of the league’s most promising young talents, with scouts praising his versatility and composure under pressure.
His arrival is seen as a major coup for Olympiacos, who are looking to bolster their squad depth as they chase domestic silverware and a strong showing in Europe this season. The Greek club has been active in the summer transfer market and views Manneh as a key part of its long-term project.
