Bakary Touray has taken the next step in his professional journey after completing a move to Saudi Arabian Second Division side Al Arabi SC, signing a one-and-a-half-year contract.

Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa, Touray described the move as a major boost for his career, highlighting the opportunity to develop in a new footballing environment while reuniting with familiar faces from the national team. Al Arabi SC already boasts senior Gambian internationals Omar Colley and Hamza Barry, a factor that played a key role in his decision.

“It’s really a massive step for me going forward in my career,” Touray he exclusively told Footy-Africa. “After learning in Tunisia for just six months, coming to a league where I have my fellow Gambian brothers playing is special. I once looked up to them, especially Hamza, who has been like a mentor to me.”

The Gambian midfielder joins the Saudi outfit following his departure from Tunisian Ligue 1 club JS Kairouanaise in December 2025, where he spent the first half of the season. During his time in Tunisia, the former Falcons FC player featured in 13 league matches, gaining valuable top-flight experience and further sharpening his game.

The move to Saudi Arabia presents Touray with a fresh challenge and the chance to grow alongside experienced compatriots, as he continues to build momentum in his career at club and international level.
