Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez is drawing serious attention from top European clubs, with Rangers already placing a clear valuation on the centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old joined the Light Blues from English lower division side Peterborough United last summer and has quickly become a key figure in the squad and has played an important role in their push for the title this season.

Fernandez has made 28 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals with five of them coming in the Scottish Premiership. His contributions have been very important for Rangers, who are currently sitting just one point off the top of the table with only a few matches left.

His form also caught the attention of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, who handed him his first senior call-up, before he went on to make his debut in a friendly against Iran in March.

Although Rangers are reluctant to allow the defender to leave the club given his importance to their setup, they have already set a £20million price tag to alert interested clubs. Here are four clubs the Nigerian defender could end up at ahead of next season.

West Ham United (England)

Premier League side West Ham are looking to strengthen their defence ahead of next season, especially if they avoid relegation.

The Hammers have struggled at the back this season and have already conceded 57 goals so far, which is the third-highest in the league and highlights their defensive issues.

Fernandez is viewed as a player who could bring stability and improvement, while the move would also be a major step up in his young career.

Arsenal (England)

Arsenal are also monitoring Emmanuel Fernandez as they plan to reinforce their squad in the summer ahead of next season.

The Gunners have suffered from several injuries which has greatly affected their defence this season and view the Nigerian as a reliable option who can add depth and quality to their backline.

Borussia Dortmund (Germany)

Borussia Dortmund are also another strong contender for the signature of Emmanuel Fernandez. The German club have a strong record of developing top talent and could be an ideal destination for the Nigerian defender for his development.

A move could become more likely if Nico Schlotterbeck leaves Dortmund, amid interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool, which could also mean more regular playing time.

Everton (England)

Everton are another Premier League side considering a move for Emmanuel Fernandez ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Toffees currently have a strong chance of qualifying for European competition next season and are keen to add more depth to their defence, which explains their interest in Fernandez.
