Gambian striker Baboucarr Faal has reportedly rejected a potential move to Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv as interest in the forward continues to grow across Europe, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.

The centre-forward is now attracting attention from clubs outside Ukraine, with Czech champions Viktoria Plzeň and Italian side Udinese Calcio among the teams monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

Faal is understood to be prioritising a move to one of Europe’s top leagues as he looks to take the next major step in his career. The 23-year-old joined Karpaty Lviv in February 2026 from fellow Ukrainian club Rukh Lviv in a deal reportedly worth around €500,000.

Since arriving at Karpaty, the Gambian attacker has continued to impress with his performances, further increasing his value on the European market. His current contract with the club runs until June 2028, giving Karpaty a strong negotiating position amid the growing transfer interest.

Reports from May 2026 indicate that Faal’s contract includes a €3 million release clause, while his current market value on Transfermarkt is listed at €700,000.

With clubs from the Czech Republic and Italy now entering the race, the coming weeks could prove decisive in determining where one of The Gambia’s rising attacking talents continues his development.
