Ghanaian midfielder Richmond Darko has signed a contract extension with Chonburi FC and will remain with the Thai side for the 2026-27 season.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder joined the Sharks during the second half of the 2025-26 campaign and quickly established himself as an important figure in the midfield.
Darko made 14 appearances across all competitions last season, playing 1,089 minutes as Chonburi secured stability in midfield during the latter stages of the campaign.
His performances convinced the club to retain him as part of coach Rangsan Vivatvichaiyok’s plans for the upcoming Thai League season.
Chonburi believe the Ghanaian will continue to play a key role in midfield as preparations begin for the 2026-27 campaign.
