Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth are reportedly stepping up efforts to secure the signature of highly-rated youngster Daniel Edzii from Scottish Championship side Queen’s Park FC ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The 16-year-old winger, who is eligible to represent Ghana despite being born in England, has attracted growing attention after a standout campaign with Queen’s Park’s youth setup.
His performances played a major role in the club’s U-17 side clinching a domestic double this season, further elevating his status as one of the brightest emerging prospects of Ghanaian descent in the British youth football scene.
Interest in the teenager is beginning to intensify, with English Championship clubs Derby County FC and Norwich City FC also believed to be monitoring his situation closely as competition builds for his services.
According to reports from Scottish publication The Daily Record, Bournemouth have already taken concrete steps in their pursuit by inviting the talented youngster to train with their academy ranks. The trial period is expected to give the Premier League side an opportunity to further assess his qualities before deciding whether to formalise a move during the summer transfer period.
Edzii joined Queen’s Park in 2024 and has quickly risen through the youth structure thanks to his explosive attacking style, technical quality and maturity on the ball despite his young age. His rapid development has not gone unnoticed, with several clubs now viewing him as a player capable of developing into a top-level professional in the years ahead.
With his stock continuing to rise, the teenage prospect is also being tipped as a potential future option for the Ghana national football team should his progression continue on its current path.
