Footy-Africa can exclusively report that Nigeria U-20 forward Abdulmuiz Adeleke is a target for English side Chelsea and French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg.
The attacker is one of the most sought-after young talents in Nigeria, and Footy-Africa understands that he has also attracted interest from several other European clubs besides Chelsea and Strasbourg.
Footy-Africa understands that a number of clubs have contacted his club, Supreme FC of Abuja, to make enquiries. However, Chelsea and Strasbourg currently appear to be leading the race for his signature.
Sources disclosed to Footy-Africa that the 17-year-old recently visited Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, where he trained with the club.
Chelsea hold him in high regard and continue to engage with Supreme FC over a potential transfer. However, the young attacker will not turn 18 until June 2027 and will only be eligible to sign a professional contract with whichever club ultimately wins the race for his signature.
Adeleke excelled for Nigeria at last year’s U17 AFCON, where he scored four goals before earning promotion to the U-20 national team.
He will be hoping to replicateβor even surpassβthose performances when the U-20 tournament gets underway on July 20 in Ivory Coast.
The talented forward recently helped Supreme FC win the N-Youth League Cup, scoring eight goals in just 391 minutes.
