Czech champions Sparta Prague are interested in signing Sporting Lagos forward Linus Zika, Footy-Africa understands.
The 19-year-old has emerged as a target for the Czech club, who have made contact with Sporting Lagos and submitted an offer for the Nigerian youngster.
Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Sparta Prague keen to secure the services of the highly rated attacker, a reliable source told Footy-Africa .
Zika previously spent time on trial with Sparta Prague’s Under-19 side, where he impressed the coaching staff. He scored after coming on for the final 30 minutes of a friendly match against Right to Dream.
The forward also caught the attention of European scouts with his performances at the Gothia Cup in Sweden last summer, earning praise for his pace, physicality and attacking quality.
After being promoted to Sporting Lagos’ senior squad ahead of the 2025-26 season, Zika played a role in helping the club secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement, with discussions continuing over a potential transfer.
