Chibuike Nwaiwu keen to stay at Trabzonspor despite Premier League interest
If the Premier League side meet the Turkish club’s valuation, the transfer could be completed.
Footy-Africa understands that, Nwaiwu would have preferred to remain at Trabzonspor for at least another season to continue his development, but his future now rests on the outcome of talks between the two clubs.
Fulham are also said to be confident of agreeing personal terms with the Nigeria international, with a proposed four-year contract that includes the option of a further year.
Should the deal be finalised, Nwaiwu would become the latest Nigerian player at Craven Cottage, joining compatriots Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.
Footy-Africa understands that the defender is calm and not affected by the situation and hopeful a decision can be made swiftly so he can focus on preparations for the new season.
