Barcelona have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian winger Aziz Issah from Dreams FC, with the 19-year-old putting pen to paper on a two-year contract, sources have told Footy-Africa.
Issah has already signed his deal after arriving in Barcelona earlier this week, bringing an end to weeks of uncertainty surrounding his future.
Sources indicate Barcelona had initially decided against making the move permanent following his two-year loan spell. However, the club revisited the decision after concluding the transfer could be completed at a relatively low cost, making it an attractive investment.
Despite securing Issah’s signature, Barcelona are yet to make a final decision on where he will play during the 2026/27 season.
The club is assessing whether to integrate the Ghanaian into Hansi Flick’s first-team squad, keep him with Barรงa Atlรจtic or send him on loan to gain experience at a higher level.
Issah earned a permanent move after impressing during the second half of last season with Barรงa Atlรจtic, where he became an important player under Juliano Belletti and scored four goals.
An official announcement from Barcelona is expected shortly, after which the club will determine the next step in the young winger’s development.
