Kennedy Boateng has completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Fateh, bringing an end to his search for a new club after leaving Romanian outfit FC Dinamo earlier this summer.
The 29-year-old Togo-Ghanaian centre-back has signed for Al-Fateh as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Dinamo on 1 July 2026. He has already been officially unveiled by the Saudi club ahead of the new season.
Boateng arrives in Saudi Arabia after an impressive two-year spell in Romania, where he established himself as one of Dinamo’s most reliable defenders. Having joined the Bucharest-based club on a free transfer from Austrian side Austria Lustenau in the summer of 2024, he went on to make 53 Romanian SuperLiga appearances and scored six goals from central defence.

Before his stint in Romania, Boateng enjoyed a well-travelled European career that began after leaving Ghanaian side WAFA SC in 2016 for Austrian club LASK. He later represented SV Ried, Portuguese outfit Santa Clara, and Austria Lustenau before earning his move to Dinamo.
The experienced defender also boasts an impressive trophy record in Austria, winning the Austrian Second League title twice, first with LASK in 2017 and later with SV Ried in 2020.
With his blend of leadership, aerial dominance, and top-flight experience across multiple European leagues, Boateng is expected to bolster Al-Fateh’s defensive options as the Saudi Pro League club prepares for the 2026/27 campaign.
