Ghanaian winger Edmund Baidoo boycotted RB Salzburg training last week in an attempt to force through a move to Belgian champions Club Brugge, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Sources close to the situation say the 20-year-old was keen on completing the transfer after weeks of negotiations between the two clubs. His absence from training resulted in him missing Salzburg’s Austrian Bundesliga opener against Hartberg.
Despite Baidoo’s desire to leave, RB Salzburg refused to sanction the move, insisting Club Brugge’s final offer arrived too late in the transfer window and left the club with insufficient time to identify a suitable replacement.
The Austrian giants have made it clear that the Ghana international remains a central part of their plans for the 2026/27 campaign and have informed interested clubs that he is not for sale this summer.
