Al Ittihad have decided to keep Nigerian striker George Ilenikhena despite interest from several European clubs, including Sevilla, according to Africafoot.
The Saudi club had considered selling the 20-year-old after Sevilla reportedly offered €10 million plus €3 million in bonuses and a share of a future transfer fee. Al Ittihad had valued Ilenikhena at around €20 million.
However, his impressive start to the 2026-27 season has changed the club’s position. Ilenikhena has scored three goals in his opening matches, including a brace against Al Najma in the King’s Cup and a league goal against Al Qadsiah.

His form has convinced Al Ittihad that keeping the former Monaco forward is preferable to accepting a European offer.
Ilenikhena joined Al Ittihad from Monaco in February 2026 after previous spells with Amiens and Royal Antwerp.
Unless there is a late change, Sevilla’s pursuit is now set to end with Ilenikhena remaining in Saudi Arabia for the 2026-27 campaign.
