Alasana Yirajang’s proposed move to Italian Serie A side US Lecce has stalled after Lecce and Slovan Bratislava failed to reach an agreement over the transfer of the Gambian forward, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
With Lecce now moving forward with the signing of another attacker, Yirajang appears increasingly likely to remain with the Slovak champions, although his longer-term future at the club remains uncertain.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the new campaign under coach Yaya Touré, playing an important role as Slovan secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Alasana Yirajang attracts concrete Serie A interest from Lecce
Yirajang has scored three goals and provided one assist in his first nine appearances of the season, continuing the strong form that has attracted attention from clubs abroad.
The Gambian forward joined Slovan Bratislava in June 2025 from fellow Slovak side FK Železiarne Podbrezová and has a contract running until 2028.
His current market value is estimated at around €1 million by Transfermarkt, but with interest from abroad and his recent performances in European competition, his situation at Slovan could remain one to monitor.
