Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson is set to join Israeli top-flight side Hapoel Be’er Sheva on a season-long loan from Norwich City, Footy-Africa can confirm.
The deal will be a straight loan with no option to buy, with Forson expected to undergo his medical before the transfer is formally completed.
Norwich had sanctioned a loan move for the 23-year-old, with the deal initially between the Championship club and German side Augsburg. However, negotiations with Augsburg did not lead to an agreement, allowing Hapoel Be’er Sheva to move ahead and reach an agreement with Norwich.
Forson is now expected to travel to Israel for his medical as the final step before completing the move.
The Ghana international featured for Norwich during their pre-season preparations but has not been included in the matchday squad for any of their opening four competitive fixtures this season.

His lack of involvement had raised questions over his immediate future, with Norwich now agreeing to send him out on loan to gain regular playing time.
Forson joined Norwich from Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg in August 2024, signing a four-year contract with the Championship side.
He made 16 appearances for Norwich last season, although his campaign was disrupted by a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for almost three months.
The temporary move to Hapoel Be’er Sheva will give Forson the opportunity to play regularly and regain his momentum.
