Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini is set join Derby County on loan from Union Saint-Gilloise with an option to make the move permanent, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
Derby had previously shown interest in the 24-year-old but lost out to Birmingham City, who reached an agreement with Union SG and the player.
Fuseini travelled to England, completed his medical and took part in a photoshoot ahead of the expected announcement of his move to Birmingham.
However, the deal collapsed at the last minute after Birmingham decided to sign Canada international Liam Millar from Hull City on loan.

With Birmingham’s move falling through, Derby were given an opportunity to revive their interest in the Ghanaian and quickly moved to secure a deal.
The Championship club have now reached an agreement with Union SG for Fuseini to join on a season-long loan, with an option to make the transfer permanent.
Sources close to the player described the collapse of the Birmingham deal as “crazy” given that Fuseini had already completed his medical and photoshoot.
Fuseini joined Union SG from Austrian club Sturm Graz in 2024 for around €2 million and will now continue his career in the Championship with Derby County.
