Manchester City completed a move to sign Senegalese forward Iliman Ndiaye from Everton on summer transfer deadline day.
The Cityzens were in need of attacking reinforcements after both Savinho and Omar Marmoush joined Tottenham Hotspur, while a bid for Dutch winger Cody Gakpo failed to materialize with Liverpool not keen on parting ways with the 27-year-old.
However, they made a late move for Ndiaye, who had been linked with an exit from the Hill Dickinson Stadium all summer, before agreeing a deal in the region of £65 million for the former Olympique Marseille forward.
The 26-year-old will now be aiming to stake a regular place in a new-look Manchester City side under Enzo Maresca and his versatility could be very important in this aspect.
The Senegal international can play on both flanks and can also be deployed in the attacking midfield role and also as a second striker.

Transfer fee and contract details
Manchester City will pay a fee worth up to £65 million for Ndiaye, with Jack Grealish also moving the opposite way in a separate deal entirely.
The deal is structured as a £60 million guaranteed fee, with an additional £5 million in transfer related add-ons and makes Ndiaye the second most expensive sale in the history of Everton, only behind Romelu Lukaku’s £75 million move to Manchester United in the summer of 2017.
Manchester City saw off competition from the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool to seal the signature of the Senegalese forward, who will now wear the number 7 shirt.

Salary details
Ndiaye earned around £2.3 million annually at Everton and is expected to earn a significant increase in pay after completing the move to Manchester City.
The 26-year-old has also signed a five-year deal that could potentially keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2031.
From Merseyside to Manchester
Ndiaye joined Everton from Olympique Marseille in 2024 and enjoyed a very impressive stay at the Toffees, becoming one of their most important players during the course of his stay.
He has now embarked on the next chapter of his career and will be eyeing a major role as Manchester City look to challenge Arsenal for the Premier League title this season.
