Ghana defender Alidu Seidu has completed his loan move to OGC Nice from Rennes, a source close to the player has confirmed to Footy-Africa.
The 26-year-old joins Nice on a straight loan deal until the end of the season, with no option to buy included in the agreement.
The move follows several days of negotiations after Nice identified Seidu as a target to strengthen their defence.
Nice turned to the Ghana international after suffering defensive injuries, including the ACL injury sustained by Antoine Mendy.

Seidu had been out of favour at Rennes and was previously training away from the first team while waiting for a solution to his situation.
Although Rennes recently recalled him to group training and registered him for their Europa League campaign, the decision for the defender to leave the club had already been made, according to a source close to the player.
Seidu had attracted interest from Marseille and Strasbourg during the transfer window, with Strasbourg reportedly reaching an agreement on personal terms before failing to meet Rennes’ €10 million valuation.
The Ghana international, who is contracted to Rennes until 2029, will now look to revive his season at Nice and regain regular first-team football.
