Speaking in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa, Sofo said he views his promotion was a crucial step in his career but maintains his long-term dream is to feature at the very highest level in Europe.
“Of course, like many young players, I dream of playing in Europe’s biggest leagues, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France. That’s the ultimate stage,” Sofo revealed. “But right now, my full focus is here with New York Red Bulls. The team has trusted me with this opportunity, and I want to give my all to help us achieve big things this season.”
“This is just the start of what I want to achieve,” he said. “I know it takes hard work and consistency to make it to Europe, and I believe Red Bulls is the right place to build myself for that challenge.”
While he is yet to feature for Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, Sofo remains optimistic his progress will eventually earn him a call-up.
