Young Ghanaian left-back Joseph Opoku joined Bosnia and Herzegovina side FK Leotar on a free transfer, according to the club’s official statement.
In January, the 20-year-old, whose current Transfermarkt value is estimated at around €75.000, signed a contract with Serbian club Radnicki Nis. That spell didn’t last long, as he left the club after six months, having taken part in only one match.
“With the arrival of Opokuu, coach Davor Berber gains a fast and penetrating footballer who will certainly bring additional energy and breadth to Leotar’s game. Welcome, Josef!” official announcement says.
Prior to his time in Radnicki Nis, Opoku played for Ghanaian EurAfrica FC, then for the junior teams of Torino in Italy, as well as for the Italian club Vado.
Last season, FK Leotar finished 9th in the First League of the Republika Srpska, the second tier football league of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
