Turkish side Fenerbahce and bosses of Russian powerhouse Spartak Moscow have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Ghanaian international centre-back Alexander Djiku, according to Ajansspor.
The 31-year-old defender is expected to miss Thursday’s World Cup Qualifiers Ghana international match against Chad in order to undergo medicals shortly.
Fenerbahce is expected to make around €5 million from this transfer.Â
Ajansspor’s journalist Arif Can Yıldız adds that Djiku, who has one year left on his contract with Fenerbahce, will sign a two-year deal with the Russian club with an option for an additional year.

Previously this week, a source close to Djiku exclusively confirmed to Footy-Africa that talks with Spartak are progressing positively, with the club eager to land the experienced defender on a permanent deal.
Djiku, who has impressed since joining Fenerbahçe in 2023, is valued at around €6.5 million by Transfermarkt.
Last season, Djiku made 38 appearances across all competitions. At the international stage, he has made 33 caps, chipping in with two goals in the coveted shirt.
At the Lukoil Arena, Djiku is expected to become the centre-piece of the Spartak’s defence, the team, which has been actively searching for a defender this transfer window.
