Football agent Papa Agyemang talking exclusively to Footy-Africa expressed belief that Dunfermline Athletic’s new signing, Nurudeen Abdulai, has all the tools to develop into a top-level player under manager Neil Lennon.

The Ghanaian centre-back joined the Scottish Championship side from Medeama SC on a three-year deal, pending visa approval and international clearance. Standing at 6ft 2in, Abdulai arrives with significant experience, including 75 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and seven outings in the CAF Champions League.

Agyemang, who played a key role in securing the deal, expressed confidence in both the player’s potential and Lennon’s track record.

“Nurudeen is a modern defensive player who can progress the ball. His aerial ability, movement, and skills will stand him in good stead,” he said in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa. “I’m convinced that under the guidance of Neil Lennon and his technical staff, they’ll develop him into a top-level player.”

Agyemang pointed to Lennon’s managerial pedigree as a crucial factor in the move.

“Neil’s record speaks for itself. He managed Celtic, won everything possible domestically, competed regularly at the top level in Europe, and developed players like Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk. That experience will only benefit Nurudeen,” he added.

Abdulai, born in Takoradi, Ghana, was a key figure in Medeama’s backline and earned multiple national team call-ups. Known for his strength in the air and threat from set-pieces, he played a pivotal role in Medeama’s qualification for the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history.

Now at East End Park, Agyemang is confident the 21-year-old will continue to grow under Lennon’s mentorship.
