Fulham vs Brentford Match Preview
Fulham grabbed their first league win of the season on Мatchday with a 1-0 win over newly-promoted Leeds United. Summer signing Kevin was the star of the show, despite coming on as a late substitute, to help his side to a first victory at the fourth time of asking. They had conceded a penalty kick in the five straight games before the win, and had not kept a clean sheet in their previous 12 matches.
They began the season with consecutive 1-1 draws against Brighton and Manchester United, before losing in controversial fashion to Chelsea in their third match.
Brentford, meanwhile, scored a last-gasp equalizer to hold Chelsea to a 2-2 draw in their last league outing. Following a 10th-placed finish in the 2024/25 season, they lost forwards Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa to Manchester United and Newcastle United respectively, while manager Thomas Frank left for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
The Bees began the season with a 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest, which was followed by a 1-0 home win over Bournemouth. In their third league match of the season, they were defeated 2-1 by newly-promoted Sunderland, who netted twice in the final 10 minutes of the tie to seal the win.
