English Premier League outfit Manchester United were reportedly interested in making a move for Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo in the summer, and could revive their pursuit in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation in the English Premier League, particularly in the last two seasons, turning in hugely impressive performances for Bournemouth.
He has played a major role in the Cherries’ brilliant start to the 2025-26 campaign, which sees them sitting fifth in the league standings and above the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Semenyo has been directly involved in 52.9% of Bournemouth’s league goals this season with six goals and three assists, while only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has more goals than him, showing his importance to the team.

How much will Semenyo cost Man United?
Per Transfermarkt, Antoine Semenyo is currently worth about €55 million, making him the most valuable Ghanaian player in the English Premier League and the joint-fourth most valuable African footballer in the league.
However, it will take a transfer offer in the excess of £75 million to lure the in-form forward away from the Vitality Stadium in January.
Per Capology, the 25-year-old currently earns around £93,750 per week and £4.8 million annually. The total investments in his signature could rise to around £100 million, depending on the length and terms of the contract he agrees to.

How will he fit into Man United’s team?
Antoine Semenyo is a perfect blend for Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system. The Ghanaian forward’s versatility means he can be deployed in either of the two attacking roles, and he can also deputize at the left-wing back position due to his remarkable work rate.
The winger ranks among the fastest footballers in the English Premier League, and his ability to make himself available to receive forward passes will be very important in Manchester United’s counter-attacking style.
Semenyo will be a valuable addition to the squad if Ruben Amorim’s side can manage to secure his signature.
