Nigerian midfielder Emmanuel Ayaosi is on the verge of completing a move from MFK Karviná to Czech giants Viktoria Plzeň, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal, as the player takes another step in his career.
Ayaosi, 21, is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the Czech top flight and is now set to earn a move to one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the country.
“Yes, I can confirm that Ayaosi is moving to Viktoria Plzen in January, with everything being agreed in principle,” a source close to the player exclusively told Footy-Africa. “The player has been attracting interest from other clubs, but we have agreed with Plzen for his transfer and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, he will be joining them.”
Transfers loom for Lucky Ezeh and Abdullahi Bewene as European interest grows
“They have shown tremendous interest in him, and we believe the club is the best fit for him at the moment. He is a very talented player, and he will be a good addition to the Plzen team, where I hope he can continue to develop,” the source added.
The attacking midfielder has been a standout performer for Karviná, registering five goals and three assists in 19 appearances.
The former Dakkada FC player moved to the Czech Republic from Nigeria as an exciting but relatively unknown talent in the 2022/23 season and initially joined Karviná’s B team.
His development was swift, and he earned promotion to the senior side the following year, where he continued to shine.
Dukla Prague agree on January move for Nigerian teenager Amos Adzuu
A creative midfielder with an eye for goal, Ayaosi’s rise has not gone unnoticed, and his performances have attracted interest from several clubs.
However, Viktoria Plzeň have moved in and are in pole position to sign the player.
Ayaosi’s impending switch places him firmly among the new wave of young Nigerian talents making waves in the Czech league, alongside the likes of Moses David, Abdullahi Bewene and Lucky Ezeh.
