Swedish Allsvenskan club AIK Stockholm have completed the signing of 18-year-old Nigerian wonderkid Zadok Yohanna on a long-term contract from Nigerian-based side Ikon Allah Football Academy, Footy-Africa reports.

The highly rated Nigerian talent’s move to AIK Stockholm puts an end to intense transfer speculation, with the midfielder previously linked to several clubs across Europe, Scandinavia, and Asia.

In an exclusive interview, player agent Roni Layous revealed the reasons behind choosing AIK Stockholm despite receiving offers from top clubs abroad. He described the young midfielder as a future star of the Nigeria national team.

β€œWe have been guiding and supporting Zadok for years β€” a humble boy who improves day by day. A work machine that always wants more,” Layous said.

β€œIt was clear to us that it was only a matter of time before we made a big move for Zadok. After receiving different offers and weighing several options, we chose AIK β€” a huge, historic club with a massive fanbase.”

β€œAIK is just the first European stop in Zadok’s journey. I believe it’s only a matter of time before we see him at the highest level of football, achieving his childhood dream of representing the Super Eagles,” Layous concluded.

The highly coveted Nigerian midfielder, who recently turned 18, was previously linked to UAE side Al Wasl FC among other top clubs interested in securing his signature.
