Ghanaian attacker Antoine Semenyo has completed the biggest move of his career, officially joining Manchester City and stepping onto one of football’s grandest stages.

The 26-year-old Ghana international finalized a five-and-a-half-year deal at the Etihad Stadium on Friday, becoming the latest addition to Pep Guardiola’s galaxy of stars. It marks a remarkable rise for a player whose journey has taken him through Bristol City and Bournemouth to the very summit of the Premier League.

Semenyo arrives in Manchester in blistering form. With 10 league goals already this season, the powerful, two-footed winger has been one of the standout performers in England’s top flight, catching the eye with his direct running, finishing and relentless work rate.

Now, that form has earned him a chance to compete for the game’s most coveted honours. For the first time in his career, Semenyo will be challenging for domestic and European titles on multiple fronts, surrounded by world-class talent and guided by one of the most decorated managers of the modern era.

Speaking in his first interview as a City player, Semenyo admitted the magnitude of the moment is still hitting home.

“It’s only sinking in now to be honest,” he began. I’ve had to work very hard to get to this point, I’m over the moon that it’s done and looking forward to the challenge.”

“I’m so excited. I’m looking forward to meeting the boys, just competing at the highest level and hopefully winning all four competitions. “I’m looking forward to it, and I can’t wait for the challenge.”

For Manchester City, Semenyo represents both immediate impact and long-term ambition. For the winger himself, it is the reward for years of perseverance, and the beginning of a new chapter defined by elite competition, pressure, and the pursuit of silverware at the highest level of European football.
