A source close to ArthurLegacy, the agency representing Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Yeboah, has exclusively revealed to Footy-Africa that the player is open to extending his stay at Halmstads BK, with discussions ongoing over a possible permanent transfer.

Yeboah, 23, joined the Swedish side on loan from Brøndby IF in the summer of 2025 in search of regular playing time. Since his arrival, he has made 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals as he continues to rebuild form after a difficult spell in Denmark.

With his loan deal set to expire at the end of June, expectations had been that the forward would return to Brøndby. However, that position appears to have shifted, with both the player and Halmstads now considering a longer-term arrangement.

According to the source, there is mutual interest in a renewal, with Yeboah keen to remain in Sweden where he is gradually rediscovering consistency and confidence.

Halmstads hold an option to make the deal permanent, although the club is yet to make a final decision. Sporting director Jesper Westerberg recently indicated that more time is needed to assess the situation.

“We haven’t made a decision yet. We need to play a few more matches in the Allsvenskan before deciding whether to activate the option,” he said.

Yeboah’s future is expected to be resolved before the summer transfer window, as the club weigh his development alongside competition for places within the squad.
