Abdoulie Tamba has made a significant move in his football career, officially signing a four-year permanent contract with Swedish Allsvenskan side IFK Norrköping. According to his agent Modou Beyai, who gave an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa, the move is the result of months of hard work behind the scenes.
The transfer comes after a successful short trial with the club, marking a new chapter for the Gambian centre-back who has now become the second-highest transfer in the history of the Gambian Premier League club, Fortune Football Club.

“He’s a player I’ve been following for quite a while,” Beyai explained in exclusive interview with Footy-Africa. “After numerous scouting sessions, it became clear to me that Tamba was a perfect fit for what I look for in a player. He reminds me of Bubacarr Sanneh, with a left foot that’s not only technically sound but also rare in today’s game. His development is my priority, and I believe Norrköping provides him the ideal environment to grow.”
Beyai also underscored Tamba’s unique qualities, which set him apart from other players.
“What makes him special is his hunger, desire, humility, and willingness to learn. His qualities on the pitch speak for themselves. He’s a physical, technical centre-back with a left foot—traits every top European club covets,” Beyai said, reflecting on Tamba’s rising stock in European football.

“I see him in the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, or Ligue 1 in the near future,” he added. “In fact, he’ll be stepping into the shoes of Kojo Peprah Oppong, the Ghanaian centre-back who left Norrköping for OGC Nice, and I believe Tamba has the potential to reach even greater heights.”
