Young Nigerian midfielder David Moses is making waves in the Czech top flight and is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Nigeria in recent years, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The 21-year-old made his UEFA Champions League debut last week against Atalanta, marking a remarkable rise from the grassroots of Nigerian football to the biggest stage in European club competition.
Just three years ago, Moses was a skinny youngster playing football in dusty fields in Nigeria, dreaming of making it big.

He was discovered by popular Nigerian agent Babawo Mohammed, who is also credited with unearthing talents such as Chidozie Awaziem of Nantes and Chidera Ejuke of Sevilla.
The lanky midfielder caught the eye during a scouting programme while representing B Angels Football Club of Abuja. It did not take long before Babawo and his Czech Republic partners at CSC Agency secured a move for him to MFK Karviná, where he quickly impressed.
His performances earned him a transfer to Czech giants Slavia Prague in January 2025 in a €1.5 million deal, joining compatriot Igoh Ogbu at the club and signing a three-year contract.

According to Babawo, Moses’ rapid rise comes as no surprise, and he expects the youngster to become a key figure for both club and country.
“I first discovered him during a scouting program we organised sometime in 2021/22 in Abuja, and I was very impressed,” the agent exclusively told Footy-Africa. “He played with B Angels football club during the program and immediately you could see how talented he was, and I was convinced he will be a great player”.
“I am not surprised by his move to Slavia Prague and even playing in the Champions League. Though he is still young, there is a lot to expect from him. He reads the game well, he can tackle well and has a good passing range. His transfer to Prague from Karvina shows he has grown and I believe he will keep getting better. Moses is a humble and simple lad and with time, he will play for Nigeria. I am sure of that. It is just a matter of time,” he added.
This season, Moses has played 15 matches for Slavia Prague in all competitions, scoring one goal as he continues to grow into one of Nigeria’s most exciting young talents.
