Nigeria forward Akor Adams has told Footy-Africa that he remains fully committed to Sevilla FC, insisting he has no plans to leave the Spanish side despite attracting attention following an impressive 2025 Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

Adams joined Sevilla in January on a five-year contract from Montpellier for a reported fee of around €5.5 million. One year into the deal, the winger has developed steadily, with his performances beginning to attract attention across Europe, although no formal transfer links have yet emerged.

While speculation may intensify in the coming months, Adams noted that his full focus is on helping Sevilla through a difficult period. The club are currently just three points above the relegation zone.

β€œMy ambition is clear, to stay with Sevilla,” he told Footy-Africa. β€œWe aren’t doing well recently, and I want to help the club stay up. I will be joining my teammates in the coming days and I will give my best.”

The 25-year-old also reflected on his Africa Cup of Nations debut, describing it as one of the biggest moments of his career. Adams, who made his senior debut for Nigeria in October 2025, was among the Super Eagles’ standout performers in Morocco.

β€œIt was an amazing experience, one of the biggest I have had so far,” he added. β€œI am grateful to God, to coach Eric Chelle for the confidence, and to my teammates for helping me settle.”

Adams scored three goals and provided two assists in seven appearances as Nigeria claimed bronze at AFCON. Valued at around €7 million, his stock continues to rise as he returns to club duty with renewed confidence.
