Gambian forward Baboucarr Faal is on the verge of completing a high-profile transfer from Karpaty Lviv to Czech Republic giants Viktoria Plzen after both clubs reached an agreement to activate his €3 million release clause, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The move marks another major step in the rapid rise of the 23-year-old attacker, who only joined Karpaty Lviv in February 2026 from city rivals Rukh Lviv in a deal believed to be worth around €500,000.
Faal has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in the Ukrainian Premier League, establishing himself as one of the league’s most exciting attacking talents. The left-footed forward scored nine goals and provided five assists in 26 league appearances combined for both Lviv clubs during the 2025/26 season.
