Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh is set to join UAE Pro League side Kalba after negotiating his exit from NK Maribor, sources have told Footy-Africa.
The 29-year-old is still in Ghana, where he has spent the pre-season after deciding not to return to Maribor. Tetteh has been spotted keeping fit by playing in local football matches as he waits for his move to the UAE to be completed.
Tetteh has agreed a move to Kalba, but will only join the club after reaching an agreement with Maribor over his departure. He remains under contract with the Slovenian club until May 2027.
The Ghana international has not made an appearance for Maribor this season after enjoying an impressive 2025/26 campaign, when he scored 12 goals to finish as the top scorer in the Slovenian Prva Liga.
He initially joined Maribor on loan from FC Metz before making the move permanent in 2025.
Kalba are coached by former Olimpija and Rijeka head coach Victor Sanchez, who is keen to add the experienced Ghanaian forward to his squad.
Tetteh previously played for Metz, Hull City, Standard Liège, Bohemians 1905, Sparta Prague and Yeni Malatyaspor.
Once his departure from Maribor is finalised, Tetteh will travel to the UAE to complete his move to Kalba.
