Bradford City have identified Gambian forward Alassana Jatta as an ideal addition to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, with the Notts County striker continuing to attract interest from multiple clubs, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
The 27-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign, scoring 16 League Two goals for Notts County and establishing himself as one of the divisionβs most consistent goalscorers. His performances have placed him firmly on the radar of clubs seeking proven firepower.
According to the player’s agent, Bradford are eager to strengthen their frontline after midfielder Antoni Sarcevic finished as the clubβs top scorer last season with 11 goals, highlighting the need for a prolific striker.
However, the League One side could face stiff competition for Jattaβs signature. Danish Superliga club AC Horsens has already submitted a bid believed to be worth around Β£425,000, while Bolton Wanderers have also been mentioned among the clubs that could enter the race.
Should Bradford succeed in signing Jatta, it would be viewed as a major statement of intent, with the Gambian international regarded as one of the standout forwards available this summer.
Previously Jatta has turned down a lucrative offer from Indonesian giants Persija Jakarta, despite being presented with a contract that would have guaranteed him a massive 6-figure annual salary from Notts County FC.
Jatta, who has earned two senior caps for The Gambia, joined Notts County in February 2024 and remains under contract until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, he currently has an estimated market value of β¬600,000.
