The 19-year-old, who joined Brighton from Chelseaโs academy two seasons ago, has grown into one of the most highly-rated players in the clubโs U21 team. Standing at 6ft 4in, Owusuโs physicality, composure, and intelligence on the ball have caught the attention of the clubโs technical team, earning him training opportunities with the first team.

โHeโs at the right club to continue his development at this stage. Brighton have placed trust in him. Now itโs time to achieve the targets weโve set for him,โ he said.
Owusu, who was born in England to Ghanaian parents, has been playing football since childhood and is known for his versatility in midfield, able to operate both as a deep-lying playmaker and a box-to-box option.
Brighton, aware of growing interest from rival English clubs and scouts in Europe, moved quickly to secure his future with a professional contract. The hope within the club is that Owusu will continue progressing and break into the senior team in the near future.
The teenager remains eligible to represent Ghana at international level, and his recent rise is expected to place him firmly on the radar of the national team setup if his development continues on its current path.
