Teenage Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Manaf Ansah is set to join Belgian giants Club Brugge, sources have revealed to Footy-Africa.
The 17-year-old defensive midfielder has returned to Ghana after impressing during trial spells in Germany and Belgium, with Club Brugge now leading the race for his signature.
Footy-Africa understands that Club Brugge gave Ansah an opportunity to train with the club, where his performances made a strong impression on the technical team.
The Belgian side are now expected to complete the move, with Ansah eligible to sign his professional contract in March 2027, when he turns 18.
If the deal is finalised, the teenager is expected to initially join Club NXT, Club Brugge’s development side, as he begins his career in European football.
Ansah was developed by Ghanaian club Emmanuel City FC, the same academy that produced Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei Oppong, who recently joined Spanish giants Real Madrid from Granada.
The youngster has already gained international experience, having featured for Ghana’s U-20 side that finished runners-up at the WAFU U-20 Championship in June 2025.
Ansah’s performances during his recent trials also attracted interest from German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, but sources indicate that Club Brugge have now moved into pole position to secure his services.
The proposed move would mark another significant step in Ansah’s development, with Club Brugge offering him a pathway through their established youth and development structure.
