Nigeria U-20 forward Sani Suleiman continues to draw significant attention from top European clubs, with a January move away from Czech side AS Trencin increasingly likely, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
A source close to the player’s camp exclusively told Footy-Africa that other major clubs, including those in Spain, Italy, Germany, and Austria, have now joined the chase.
“He has been on the radar of many clubs for the past couple of months, and after the World Cup, more clubs have now started looking at him,” the source exclusively revealed. “There was a discussion last week on where he should go within the handlers of the boy. I understand Villarreal in Spain are in for him. Also, German side Eintracht Frankfurt are another team that was mentioned. There is also interest from Austria, a big club there.”
“Those are the ones I can remember for now that were discussed. The Chelsea deal has cooled off, but those clubs I mentioned are the ones that have popped up in the last few weeks,” he added.
Expressing optimism for the future of the young forward, the source added:
“In all, I wish the boy well. He has the hunger to succeed, and I wish him all the best. His movement in January is highly likely.”
As earlier reported by Footy-Africa, the highly rated 19-year-old has been at the centre of intense transfer speculation, with sources close to the player confirming that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea made inquiries, though the latter submitted a more concrete approach.
Despite being contracted to Trencin until the summer of 2026, Suleiman’s performances in the Czech topflight and at the FIFA U-20 World Cup have alerted several more clubs to his growing potential.

Suleiman, a product of the prestigious Golden Boy Soccer Academy in Jos, is represented in Nigeria by Ahmed Ibrahim, popularly known as Coach Bros, the same mentor behind the rise of stars such as Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, and Hilary Gong.
Suleiman has made 13 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing three goals and four assists, further reinforcing why he is seen as one of the most exciting Nigerian youngsters currently in Europe.
