German-born Ghanaian youngster Farid Alfa-Ruprecht is set to rejoin Bayer Leverkusen following the conclusion of his loan spell with German second-tier side VfL Bochum.
The highly-rated 20-year-old enjoyed a solid campaign during his temporary stay, gaining valuable first-team experience and continuing his development in German football.
A statement released by the club praised the wingerโs contribution throughout the season, highlighting his impact both on and off the pitch.
“Farid Alfa-Ruprecht already boasts an impressive resume at a young age. After stints at Manchester City and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, he joined VfL Wolfsburg in September 2025. The 20-year-old made 26 appearances for the Blue and Whites in competitive matches, contributing two goals and two assists. He will also be returning to his boyhood club, Bayer Leverkusen. Thank you for your commitment and all the best!” the statement read.
Alfa-Ruprechtโs return to Leverkusen comes after a productive loan period that saw him showcase his pace, creativity, and attacking quality across 26 competitive outings.
The talented youngster has already built an impressive football journey despite his age, having spent time in the youth setups of Manchester City and Bayer Leverkusen before continuing his progress in Germany.
Internationally, Alfa-Ruprecht remains eligible to represent Ghana at senior level, although he has previously featured for Germany at U17, U18, and U19 levels.
With his stock continuing to rise, the winger will now hope to force his way into Bayer Leverkusenโs plans ahead of the new season.
